What is the job?

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Scanning Operations to join our team in Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Scanning team and contribute to the bank's cybersecurity efforts. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team responsible for end-to-end security scanning operations, ensuring safe operations, application on-boarding, and meeting planned time to market. You will also be responsible for monitoring network security environments, identifying security gaps, and evaluating, implementing enhancements and remedial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Scanning team to ensure effective security scanning operations
  • Monitor network security environments and identify security gaps
  • Evaluate, implement enhancements and remedial solutions
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and threat modeling
  • Support the development of new innovative solutions and intelligence strategies
  • Establish and build credibility with stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Experience working in complex, fast-paced Cyber Operations and/or Cloud Security environments
  • Proven leadership and coaching abilities
  • Strong technical knowledge in scanning operations in wide range of enterprise environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid foundation in Networking, IT Management and DevOps practices
  • Strong resource management experience
