About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Metal Polisher Assistant to join our team at Vaughan Metal Polishing Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality metal products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment, ensuring efficient and safe movement of materials.
  • Assist metal workers in various tasks, including structural steel and platework fitting, sheet metal work, and metal machine operation.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, ensuring precise and accurate results.
  • Clean machines and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of materials.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish, meeting the highest quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work hours: 33 to 40 hours per week.
