About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tractor Mechanic Specialist to join our team at 3398722 CANADA INC. as a key member of our maintenance and repair department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and inspect heavy equipment, including tractors, to detect faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Specialized Repair Services: Provide specialized repair services for diesel engines, including fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems, and engine control systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance and Repair: Perform mechanical transmissions, drive trains, and final drives repairs, as well as hydraulic transmissions, power take-offs, and tracked vehicle suspensions and steering repairs.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks, requiring attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to handle heavy loads.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
