Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economic Research Manager to lead the Economic Analysis and Modelling Unit. This key role will be responsible for advancing economic development policy and information products through economic research, analysis, and modelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the work of the Economic Analysis and Modelling Unit, providing economic research and analysis to inform Alberta's economic performance and business competitiveness.
  • Respond to economic issues and concerns about Alberta's business competitiveness in a timely and effective manner.
  • Fulfill other leadership and management duties for the efficient operation of the unit.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics and experience in leading teams and managing projects. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
