Senior Appium Automation Tester

At Cognizant, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Appium Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Appium tool knowledge, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, Java, Jira, Selenium, and PL/SQL. The role involves leading quality assurance efforts to ensure the highest software development and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Appium for mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS automation frameworks using XCUITest and Swift.
  • Develop and execute test scripts to automate the functional and regression testing of iOS applications.
  • Set up and run the tests for multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari).
  • Document test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.
  • Manage and track defects using Jira ensuring timely resolution and communication with development teams.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Requirements:

  • 7+ or more years of hands-on experience with Automation testing Mobile applications.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Appium mobile testing for IOS platform.
  • Must have hands-on experience working with Xcode, XCUITest Framework, and Swift to drive automation for iOS applications.
  • The last 4-6 years should have been in Web and Mobile testing using Selenium Web Driver and Appium.
  • Should have experience in mobile testing and setting up automation frameworks for this.
  • Knowledge of mobile browser automation.
  • Knowledge of mobile testing using mobile devices.
  • Should have good knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
  • Proven experience in functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
  • Experience with test management tools like JIRA, JTMF.
