Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Remediation Program Management team in Calgary or Edmonton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving contaminated Upstream oil and gas sites to closure through your work with a close-knit team of specialists, professionals, and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads, and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.
  • Prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors.
  • Review data and provide recommendations.
  • Responsible for project accounting, tracking, and reporting requirements.
  • Train junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation, and on-site specific health and safety.
  • Interface with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering or natural/earth sciences.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual site models of Upstream oil and gas sites.
  • Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possess a safety-conscious attitude.
  • Strong field experience and willingness to mentor in the field on projects as needed.
  • Understanding of the Alberta Environmental regulations, such as Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidelines.
  • Professional designation is preferred.
