About the Role

S.i. Systems is looking for a Senior API and Integration Architect responsible for designing and providing expert guidance on API and Integration Solutions.

Job Overview

This permanent full-time position will involve working 1-2 days a week on-site in Toronto. The successful candidate will report directly to the AVP, API & Integration and be responsible for developing and maintaining the API & Integration platforms strategy, standards, patterns, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect the enterprise API, Event, and Microservice Integration Platforms.
  • Develop and maintain API & Integration platforms strategy, standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Drive Enterprise Integration Strategies aligning with Enterprise Target Architecture.
  • Design and provide expert guidance to team members on API & Integration Solutions.
  • Work with BSA to ensure the creation of verbose API specifications and with QE to ensure APIs are thoroughly tested.
  • Maintain an overall understanding of all changes impacting Microservices and Integration platforms.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience as a Solution Architect.
  • Experience working with Integration platforms and API-oriented development.
  • 1-2 years of modern Enterprise Architecture experience with hands-on applications' architecture and solution design.
  • Understanding and experience with Layered Architectures, Transactional applications, Client-Server, Sync/Async messaging, Microservices, PaaS-based architectures, and SaaS-based applications.
  • Understanding and experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), API Management Platform, Kafka Streaming Platform, and iPaaS.
  • Expert proficiency in building Apigee and Kafka platforms along with knowledge of consuming different features.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
