About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at RONA inc. As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) and Distribution and Delivery Centers (DDCs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including equipment and machinery, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical issues, making repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs, to prevent equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance professionals to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance electrical systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Qualification or significant work experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright.
  • Proven record of complying with safety requirements and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers.
  • Consideration will also be given to candidates possessing an Electrician - Construction & Maintenance (309A) or an Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification, but these individuals must have supplementary experience or qualifications in the maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Solid working experience of mechanical drives.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information.
  • Experience managing time and budgets.
  • Ability and willingness to build rapport and trust with others.
  • Experience with repairing/maintaining various types of systems or equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, PLC systems and automation controls, electrical systems, materials handling equipment, HVAC mechanical systems, and dock doors.
