We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Family Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at Island Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients admitted to our Low Intensity Inpatient Rehabilitation Care Unit and Alternate Level of Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site weekday direct patient care, including completion of new patient admissions, ongoing diagnostics, assessment, and follow-up
- Contribute to after-hours coverage of both units
- Collaborate with patients' family physicians to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Experience working with complex medical and frail patient populations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to practice medicine in British Columbia
