Guest Services Team Member

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Services Team Member to join our team at the CNIB Foundation.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the operation of the Tuck Shop and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the Tuck Shop inventory, restock products, and process transactions efficiently.
- Assist with online store operations, monitor orders, and process deliveries as needed.
- Count and track Tuck Shop sales, including various payment types.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests at Reception and the Tuck Shop, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Inspect guest rooms before arrivals and maintain high standards, documenting any issues as required.
- Prepare accessible formats for guest information, such as digital, large print, or Braille.
- Monitor the general email inbox, respond to messages, and flag important emails for the Camp Office & Registration Coordinator.
- Making daily announcements related to the current program.
- Enrolled in a recognized Business Certificate Program or equivalent job-related experience.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check within 6 months of start date.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and effective communication.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Office 365, including word processing and database management.
- Experience working in an office setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with POS systems and SQUARE tools is beneficial.
- Knowledge of CampBrain software is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and planning, organization, and time management skills.
This role requires respecting confidential information, functioning effectively as a team member or independently, and occasionally working overtime/flex time. The ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic and busy environment with frequent interruptions is essential.
The successful candidate must reside at CNIB Lake Joe during the operational season and be willing to share accommodations with other staff members.
