Mainline Excavator Operator

Mainline Excavator Operators play a crucial role in our construction projects, operating and maintaining heavy equipment to ensure efficient and safe execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, graders, and other machinery.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and secure special attachments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and execute high-volume production tasks.
  • Fine grade and finish surfaces to meet project specifications.
  • Assist other operators, labourers, and trades as required.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mainline operator or equivalent experience is required.
  • CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications are mandatory.
  • Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills are essential.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
