Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented User Experience Designer/Strategist Intern/Co-op to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a UX Designer, you will play a key role in creating exceptional customer experiences through the design of intuitive and user-friendly digital products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop design solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Conduct user research to inform design decisions and ensure that products are accessible and usable for all users.
  • Design and prototype digital products using Figma and other design tools.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
  • Participate in design critiques and provide feedback to colleagues to improve design quality.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Design, Interaction Design, User Interface Design, Graphic Design, Design Strategy, User-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions).
  • Business-specific job requirements: a passion for great design and an eagerness to learn, resourcefulness and willingness to adapt to processes to meet project needs, ability to articulate design approaches and rationales to colleagues and stakeholders, drive to collaborate, be curious, and foster collaboration, self-motivated, organized and accountable, conceptual ideation and visualization skills, eagerness to problem solve in a collaborative environment, versatility and flexibility, some experience with UX-related software packages, role will require use of the Figma application and similar design tools, high visual acuity is a position requirement, course work demonstrating a range of conceptual and UX design abilities, and how you worked with peers as part of a team.
  • Nice to Have: sketching skills, digital prototyping, experience working in a hybrid environment.
