About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Consultant/ Data Engineer to join our team at BDO Canada. As a key member of our delivery practice, you will play a critical role in executing enterprise-level client engagements across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with clients to design and develop industry-specific data models for client projects.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to enhance data models and improve data query efficiency.
  3. Develop complex data queries to facilitate ad hoc and exploratory analytics.
  4. Build real-time data capture and transformation functionality across all products.
  5. Clean and wrangle data to transform or map it into a more suitable format for analytics.
  6. Develop and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale data processing systems.
  7. Employ various languages and tools to integrate systems.
  8. Design and implement data visualization tools and business intelligence solutions.
  9. Stay up-to-date with development technologies to deliver state-of-the-art analytics solutions.
Requirements
  1. Post-secondary education in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience working with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
  3. Programming experience in Python.
  4. Strong attention to detail and quality of work delivered.
  5. Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements.
  6. Assets include experience with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem, knowledge of ETL, ELT, Lambda, and Kappa data architectures, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
