We are a leading organization in the field of wall decor, and we are currently seeking a skilled Master Wall Decor Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes. They will also need to mix paint to the desired colour and texture, measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, and advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted: Ensure all surfaces are smooth and even before applying paint or wallpaper.
- Repair cracks and holes: Fill in any cracks or holes with the appropriate materials to create a seamless finish.
- Mix paint to desired colour and texture: Match paint colours to client specifications and mix paints according to required textures.
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls: Measure walls accurately, cut wallpaper to size, and apply it smoothly and evenly.
- Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings: Offer expert advice to clients on the best wall covering options based on their preferences and needs.
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging: Set up necessary equipment for safe and efficient work.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to client specifications.
- Estimate costs and materials: Provide accurate estimates of materials and labour costs for clients.
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Work site environment: Outdoors, confined spaces, odours.
- Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer, willing to relocate.
- Security and safety: Basic security clearance.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours, physically demanding.
- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal suitability: Flexibility, reliability, team player.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
Language: English.
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
