About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiopharmaceutical Validation Professional to join our team at BC Cancer, part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support the validation program within our radiopharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and updating validation protocols to ensure Health Canada regulatory compliance for equipment, analytical methods, and production processes. They will work closely with the Production Unit Manager to ensure qualification and validation activities are scheduled appropriately in relation to the clinical manufacturing schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive validation protocols to ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations
  • Coordinate with the Production Unit Manager to schedule qualification and validation activities
  • Orient radiochemistry staff on equipment, processes, and test method validation protocols
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Conduct root-cause investigations associated with deviations, non-conformances, and failures
  • Prepare final validation reports, including data analysis and recommendations for corrective action
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • Three to five years of experience in a pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of equipment qualification, test method and process validation, and other processes related to Good Manufacturing or Good Laboratory Practice
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports
