Long-term Occasional Educational Assistant Role

The District School Board of Niagara is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supply Educational Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and contribute to a vibrant and innovative community dedicated to student success.
As a Supply EA, you will have the flexibility to determine your availability and preferred work locations, allowing you to tailor your schedule to fit your lifestyle. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to an OMERS Pension and benefit from professional development opportunities offered at the DSBN.
This role requires a proven track record of working with students with special education needs, collaborating with classroom teachers, and providing comprehensive student support skills. A graduate degree in Educational Assistance and Adult Supports or equivalent post-secondary training is preferred.
Key qualifications include:
- Experience working with students with special education needs
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work with classroom teachers
- Comprehensive student support skills, including personal care, mobility, communication, and life skills
- Behavioural expertise and proficiency in Applied Behaviour Analysis strategies
