**Job Summary**

Southeast Child Family Services is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team in providing protection and prevention services to children and families in our designated Southeast First Nation community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide protection and prevention services to children and families in the community.
  • Manage caseloads specific to Family Protection and Children-In-Care with prescribed timelines.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community resources for clients and team members.
  • Facilitate group meetings, build teams, and make decisions while taking initiative, solving problems, and leading planning and coordination efforts.
  • Manage case and file documentation, stress, time, and detail.
  • Work in a team-based environment and take on independent responsibilities.
  • Participate in Agency events, training, and flexible hours as required.
  • Travel to designated First Nations communities and rural areas as needed.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum one year experience in front-line case management with Children-in-Care and families.
  • Experience conducting investigations, gathering information, and implementing appropriate actions.
  • Working knowledge of Indigenous culture, the Child and Family Services Act, and crisis intervention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and valid driver's license.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact Check.
