Job Summary

Victoria General Hospital seeks a skilled and compassionate Clinical Social Worker to join its healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a registered social worker with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and two years of recent experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional assessment and interventions to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address health-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective care and transitions.
  • Participate in team planning and problem-solving to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Requirements

  • Registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.

Working Conditions

  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients/visitors/staff.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood, and body fluids.
  • May be required to work extended hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
