Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Manulife. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our engineering teams and driving the development of our technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and strategies to drive innovation and growth.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams or large-scale programs.
  • Strong technical background in software development and engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
