At The Shower Head Store, we're dedicated to providing exceptional shower products while driving operational efficiency. We're looking for a seasoned Demand Planner & Inventory Manager to help us achieve this goal.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing demand forecasting, real-time inventory tracking, and supplier coordination across multiple channels. You'll work closely with our operations, supply chain, and sourcing teams to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and logistics costs.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Inventory Planning
    • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on sales data, seasonality, and promotional cycles.
    • Set and adjust reorder points and safety stock levels to balance stock levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize purchase orders and reduce lead times.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Monitor and analyze actual sales vs. forecasts to inform purchasing decisions.
    • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory levels and ordering strategies.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize storage and logistics costs through improved forecasting and ordering.
  • Supplier Performance Management
    • Manage relationships with multiple suppliers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of products.
    • Monitor supplier performance and adjust plans accordingly to mitigate risks such as delays, tariffs, and logistics issues.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to implement process improvements and increase overall efficiency.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform forecasting and inventory planning decisions.
    • Use data visualization tools to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of forecasting and inventory planning processes.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management (preferably in e-commerce or consumer products).
  • Proven experience managing multi-supplier inventory across China and international locations.
  • Strong expertise in e-commerce supply chains (Amazon, Shopify, DTC).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Airtable, Google Sheets, Excel, Looker Studio, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with inventory planning tools (e.g., Inventory Planner, ForecastRx, NetSuite).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
