Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Family Office Service team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning solutions to our clients. This involves acting as the primary financial planner in our centralized service, as well as partnering with our Financial Planning Specialists in their respective regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for clients, including determining their objectives, analyzing their current situations, and developing appropriate advice, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial planning standards and practices.
  • Identify opportunities for complementary businesses and solutions, and work with the team to develop and implement these initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of partnership and knowledge regarding all of RBC's units.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance our services.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Wealth Management Services.

Requirements

  • CFP or PFP Designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning.
  • Superior communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Canadian taxation system.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning software (Conquest).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and ability to adapt to a fast-changing software environment.

Base Salary Range

The expected base salary range for this position is $50,000-$85,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions, and business needs.

Discretionary Bonus Program

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's robust discretionary bonus program, which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
