Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Technician to join our team in Montreal, QC. The successful candidate will assist our cathodic protection technicians during the installation and inspection of cathodic protection systems on pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist cathodic protection technicians during the installation of cathodic protection systems on pipelines
  • Assist cathodic protection technicians during surveys on pipelines (CIPS/DCVG)
  • Perform tasks such as manual digging, pulling cables, installing wooden frames and other necessary manual tasks
  • Apply coating and composite tape on pipelines
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of all site equipment
  • Work according to specific objectives and instructions from supervisors

Qualifications

  • DEC or AEC in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or other
  • 2 years of experience on work sites
  • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Pass pre-employment exams (medical)
  • ASP Construction
  • Class 5 driving license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel and work overtime hours as required
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & medical testing is a condition of employment
  • ATV / Snowmobile driving experience
  • Safety training: Ambulance Saint-Jean, SIMDUT
