Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize process systems, structures, and components for new and modified food and beverage production facilities
  • Collaborate with designers, fellow engineers, technical specialists, and project managers to achieve project goals
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of equipment and process to minimize downtime, turnaround time, and waste reduction while maintaining an excellent standard of quality

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering from a recognized college, university, or training institution
  • 3-5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in a related field or environment
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing required
  • Fundamental understanding of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment layout, and specifications, and capital project estimates
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitary design and knowledge of food and beverage industry standards, practices, and regulations preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven client interaction and experience
  • Intellectual curiosity and a positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong problem-solving, organizing, and time management skills
