About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to ensure effective project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, calculations, and drawings.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Manage and resolve project-related issues and conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering project management, preferably in a consulting firm.
  • P.Eng. or equivalent certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • LEED certification or experience with sustainable design is an asset.
