Job Title: Research Scientist - Immunology

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the BC Cancer Research Institute. The successful candidate will have a strong background in immunology and a proven track record of research productivity.

About the Role:

The Research Scientist will be responsible for developing an independent research program in basic and translational immunology, immunotherapy, and cancer biology. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, experimental oncology, or a related field, with specific and documented expertise and postdoctoral training in immunology research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead an independent research program in immunology and cancer biology
  • Conduct research in basic and translational immunology, immunotherapy, and cancer biology
  • Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
  • Teach and participate in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate teaching activities
  • Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to advance knowledge in the field
Requirements:
  • PhD in immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, experimental oncology, or a related field
  • Postdoctoral training in immunology research
  • Strong research productivity and a clear vision for an independent research program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
