About The Home Depot Canada
We're a leader in the home improvement industry, and we're looking for talented individuals like you to join our team. As a Receiving Associate, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our stores have the right products at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient receipt and processing of merchandise, including unloading trucks and moving freight to designated staging areas.
- Work closely with vendors, carriers, and store teams to resolve any issues related to shipments.
- Identify and address any damaged or missing merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, including removing pallets and cardboard boxes from the floor.
- Operate powered lift equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts, to safely move merchandise.
- Process special orders, including moving them to designated staging areas and locating them in the system.
- Verify accuracy of receiving documents, including vendor packing slips and carrier shipping documents.
- Schedule deliveries and pre-post information into the receiving system.
- Count carton freight and RGR merchandise to satisfy freight bills.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications
- Fulfill minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in previous system).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
