Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to clients, including assessment, planning, group and individual interventions, and transition planning.
- Consult with and educate other professionals, contracted agencies, and natural supports on occupational therapy tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct home assessments and community visits as required.
- Review and analyze assessment results to determine a course of action and provide verbal and written reports to case managers and other stakeholders.
- Provide individual and group treatment, including psycho-education, skill development, and other needs.
- Apply psychosocial rehabilitation approaches to facilitate client participation in rehabilitation, education, employment, and leisure programs.
- Support service delivery through joint planning, responding to team priorities, and providing progress reports to the team coordinator.
- Review programs, identify strengths, and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Valid B.C. Class V Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
- Working knowledge of current psychiatric rehabilitation, psychosocial approaches, and recovery practices.
- Demonstrated ability to use activity analysis to assess occupational performance and modify the activity, environment, or supports to enable occupation.
- Ability to utilize outcome measurement tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and presentation skills.
Working Environment:
This position may be required to work at more than one location within an assigned geographical area.
