Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our childcare services.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role requires a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Own transportation.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Punctuality.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Flexibility.
  • Reliability.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Permanent position.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language.
