Warehouse Operations Manager

At RIMEX Supply, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Saskatoon. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operation, ensuring the safe and effective storage and distribution of customer goods.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management

  • Organize and assign tasks to staff, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Develop and implement procedures for stock control, layout management, and employee training.
  • Manage inventory levels, receipt, storage, and retrieval of goods, as well as shipment loading and transferring.
  • Plan and coordinate warehouse resources and activities to meet company objectives.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to WCB regulations and risk assessments.

Safety Management

  • Ensure all employees follow safety procedures and protocols.
  • Update Safe Operating Procedures for mobile equipment as required.
  • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act, TDG, and WHIMS regulations.

Production

  • Monitor work times and production timelines to ensure efficient operations.
  • Review and improve production processes and procedures.
  • Provide backup supervision for other supervisors during vacation relief.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and tidy work environment.

Quality Control

  • Investigate process-driven quality failures and implement corrective actions.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma and two years of equivalent work experience.
  • College or university degree in business administration or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehousing environment, with supervisory experience.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mobile equipment operation.
  • Experience with WCB regulations and risk assessments.
  • Previous experience with ERP software (Syteline) is an asset.
