Toromont Cat is seeking a highly skilled Resident Field Service Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly at our customer site in a Toromont Service truck, providing superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards. The incumbent will work in a safe and healthy work environment, supporting our Health and Safety Culture.

As a Resident Field Service Technician, you will:

In a typical day, you will:

  • Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude to get the job done right and on time.
  • Demonstrate safe and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Culture.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leveraging top-tier technical skills.
  • Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through regular on-site visits.

Must-haves for this role include:

  • Post-secondary education in a field related to heavy equipment mechanics, truck and coach mechanics, diesel engine mechanics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a technician in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • 421A license.
  • A valid Driver's License (DZ License preferred).
