Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Store Manager to lead our retail store operations at Canadian Tire Gas Bar. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Direct and control daily store operations, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service.
  • Merchandise Management: Determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold, and locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales growth, and plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, and determine staffing requirements.
  • Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service, resolve customer complaints, and maintain a positive store environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks, and ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Maintenance and Facilities: Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, and ensure that the store is well-maintained and clean.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Work Conditions: Standing for extended periods, and working 42.5 hours per week.
Supervision

You will be supervising 3-4 people.
