About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher Assistant to join our team at Darrell's Restaurant 5576 Fenwick Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, ensuring a hygienic environment for food preparation and service.
  • Food Preparation: Load buspans and trays, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place dishes in storage areas.
  • Hand Washing and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans, and portion and wrap foods.
  • Receiving and Stocking: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) of items.
