About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher Assistant to join our team at Darrell's Restaurant 5576 Fenwick Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load buspans and trays, and unload clean dishes, glassware, and flatware from the dishwasher.
  • Operating Equipment: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Storage and Organization: Place clean dishes in storage areas, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Hand Washing and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to ensure they are clean and free of food residue.
  • Food Preparation: Portion and wrap foods, and stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Handle and store cleaning products, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to prepare them for cooking.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as required.
