Calian Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our temporary accommodations for asylum claimants. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of resources, staff, and facilities to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Resource Management: Coordinate and manage resources schedules to ensure sufficient personnel are present for site operations.
- Staff Supervision: Ensure that resources are qualified, trained, and capable of performing their duties.
- Guest Services: Oversee the needs of asylum claimant/humanitarian arrivals on-site daily, including facilitating their movement to and from the temporary accommodation sites.
- Logistics: Coordinate and assign rooms and beds to asylum claimant/humanitarian arrivals across various sites based on occupancy, maintaining an electronic registry of room assignments and other pertinent information.
- Food Services: Monitor and track the number of meals provided to asylum claimant/humanitarian arrivals from the accommodation site or third party, liaising with temporary accommodation site kitchen or caterer to ensure meals meet quality standards.
- Communication: Be available to attend meetings in person or by teleconference as required to discuss operational issues, identify gaps, and review processes to ensure proper and consistent contract management and operational effectiveness.
- Registration: Register asylum claimants/humanitarian arrivals at the temporary accommodation site by verifying identification/documentation, collecting information regarding special needs, medical requirements, food allergies/preferences, and maintaining an electronic registry of guests on site.
- Orientation: Provide an orientation session to asylum claimant/humanitarian arrivals prior to accessing the lodging room, including site location of amenities, overview of on-site facilities, access to city and public services, and rules and responsibilities during stay.
- Education: Post-secondary education
- Experience: A minimum of one year of work experience in staff, operations, and facility management, especially with asylum seekers
- Clearance: Eligible for Enhanced Reliability security clearance
