Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition or behavior
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and implementation
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized educational institution
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Working Conditions:

  • Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • May involve physical activities such as standing, transferring, and transporting residents and equipment
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals
