**Job Description**
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Specialized Infusion Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will work in the Toronto area, delivering specialized infusion treatments to patients in their homes or clinics. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring patient safety, administering medications, and providing education to patients and families.
**Responsibilities:
- Develop and review nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs;
- Conduct patient assessments and provide medication administration teaching;
- Obtain IV access through peripheral IV initiation or central line access (PICC, IVAD, etc.);
- Prepare and administer specialized intravenous or injectable pharmacological treatments;
- Provide patient-centered care according to established care plans or medical directives;
- Maintain role-related, medication, and pharmacovigilance training as required;
- Document patient conditions and complete other duties as requested.
**Requirements:**
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program with a BSN degree or equivalent;
- Current registration and good standing with the provincial nursing regulatory body;
- Valid driver's license with access to own vehicle to travel within the Toronto area;
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification;
- Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for clinic role;
- Chemotherapy – Biotherapy course completion is an asset.
**What You Bring to the Team:**
- Exceptional peripheral IV initiation skills;
- Experience with central lines (IVAD, PICC, etc.) is an asset;
- Exceptional patient assessment skills;
- Strong communication skills;
- Able to manage relationships with exceptional customer service;
- Able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
