Job Title: QA Portfolio Specialist

Are you a quality assurance professional looking for a challenging role that combines customer focus with technical expertise? We are seeking a skilled QA Portfolio Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Perform QA test activities for projects/releases during the Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), including reviewing project documentation and participating in product design and requirements analysis.
  • Provide QA test estimates and create test artifacts, including test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Work closely with the development team to resolve defects and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Prepare QA documentation for management review, approval, and sign-off.
  • Transfer application and process expertise to more junior analysts and provide hands-on training on systems, hardware, environment, product, standards, and methodology.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication (verbal/written) skills to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans/strategies, test cases.
  • Working knowledge of Contact Center agent-facing applications and flows.
  • At least 5+ years of quality assurance experience with manual testing (e.g., exploratory, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing).
  • Experience with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and dialer inbound/outbound call initiation in a Call Centre setting.
  • Testing experience using API testing tools Postman.
  • Must have experience of QA processes, working knowledge in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Jaws Accessibility testing is a nice to have.
  • Ability to execute sprint activities and work closely with development and business teams to plan, report, prioritize, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Possess the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and excellent analytical skills.
