About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our Operational Resilience strategy, ensuring the organization can adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing operational resilience programs, with expertise in risk management, business continuity, and change management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Enterprise Operational Resilience Program, including workstreams, operating model, scope, approach, timeline, and KPIs, while ensuring alignment with other enterprise programs.
  • Establish procedures for consistent adoption of resilience capabilities across the enterprise, in line with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and report KPIs to track progress and address bottlenecks.
  • Lead the design and implementation of the Enterprise Operational Resilience Governance structure, collaborating with business, technology, operations, and risk partners to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Act as Manulife's primary Line 1 executive representative to external regulators on Operational Resilience.
  • Ensure the program meets its mandate, executes policies effectively, drives change, creates efficiencies, and achieves desired outcomes in line with business and regulatory expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in business administration, strategy, operation management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Insurance, Banking, or Wealth and Asset Management, with 5+ years in Business Continuity Management or Operations Management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline of operational resilience and business continuity risk management.
  • Expert knowledge of risk management principles, best practices, and tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulations and interfacing with internal Compliance and Risk partners.
