We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team at the CAF Health Services Centre, Montfort Hospital, Ottawa, ON, to provide mental health support to serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary mental health team in case reviews
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health conditions for CAF members
  • Provide psychiatry consultation services to Canadian Armed Forces personnel
  • Advises on the outsourcing of psychiatry services to alternative providers
  • Prepare detailed written psychiatric assessment reports on referred patients
  • Participate in the implementation of treatment plans
  • Provide expert advice on mental illness or disorders to primary care providers
Requirements:
  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Psychiatry (FRCPC)
  • Experience in working with mental health patients with an emphasis on depression, anxiety, and trauma disorders

We are looking for a candidate with availability 3 days a week during clinic operation Monday to Friday. If you are a motivated and experienced Psychiatrist looking for a new challenge, please submit your application.
