Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Swiftwood Forest Products. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures, preparing layouts, and installing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using various measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Supervise other workers and estimate costs and materials.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.

Work Environment and Physical Capabilities:

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
