Job Summary

Madera Projects and Design Ltd. is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial buildings. You will work with a variety of materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and steel, to create and install building components such as walls, floors, and roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create building components
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate buildings and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

You will work outdoors and in various locations, including construction sites, residential areas, and commercial buildings. You will be required to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry and construction
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
