About the Role:

We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Neighbourly Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dispensing functions under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and standards of practice.
  • Receive and process prescriptions, locate medications, and count/pour medication as required.
  • Assist with pharmacy operations, including maintaining a clean and organized store environment, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform other tasks as outlined by the pharmacy manager or staff pharmacists, including answering the pharmacy telephone and assisting with third-party billing.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and have experience multi-tasking
  • Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers
