About the Role

RPS Energy Canada Ltd., a leading provider of geotechnical and engineering solutions, is seeking a contract Junior Wellsite Geologist & Coring Specialist to support its growing client base in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB).

This entry-level opportunity offers training and hands-on experience in stratigraphy, petrophysical log interpretation, facies analysis, geological data acquisition & analysis, sampling techniques, geological software, and drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and strengthen skills in geological data analysis and interpretation
  • Participate in the drilling of Oil Sands core and work with the Drilling & Geoscience departments to delineate and characterize the deposits
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the development of geological reports and presentations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology
  • Class 5 driver's license and a reliable 4x4 vehicle
  • Highly motivated, team-player with exceptional communication skills
