Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director, Trust to join our team at BMO. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong background in trust and estate administration, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of trust professionals to provide high-quality administration, relationship management, and sales to trust and estate clients.
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise for all aspects of trust and estate account management and administration to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow existing relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards.
  • Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
  • Lead change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a business/group program.
  • Review the program for effectiveness, consider industry trends, and recommend enhancements.
  • Identify business needs, design/develop tools and training programs, and may include delivery of training to audiences.
  • Perform sales and service support activities as required to meet client needs and maintain overall service levels.
  • Provide administrative support to team members and relationship managers, including financial reports, asset and account reconciliation, compliance, trade activity, posting, fee collection, and other related activities.

Requirements

  • Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certifications and/or advanced degrees preferred: JD and TEP.
  • Expert knowledge and technical proficiency related to private wealth management strategies, issues, and trends.
  • Broad and diverse background in the financial service industry and expert knowledge of banking services for the high net worth (HNW) markets.
  • Expert knowledge of all applicable compliance and industry regulations.
  • Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
  • Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.
  • Verbal and written communication skills - Expert.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - Expert.
  • Influence skills - Expert.
  • Collaboration and team skills, with a focus on cross-group collaboration - Expert.

What We Offer

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $103,500.00 - $192,500.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
