Warehouse Receiver Opportunity

Unified Alloys, a leading supplier of specialty steel and alloy products in Canada, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Receiver to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of products, maintaining a high level of quality and quantity control, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process shipments efficiently and accurately, verifying product quantities and quality.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of received products, identifying any defects or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including Mill Test Reports and receiving inspection records.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure seamless product placement and storage.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and departments to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Document non-conformances and assist with order picking and packing as needed.
  • Adhere to Quality, Health and Safety requirements, company policies, and ISO standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, including packaging, sorting, and product placement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and hand tools.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment.
