Job Summary

Ferrovial is seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our road network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on roads, highways, and other infrastructure assets, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including trucks, excavators, and cranes, to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs and develop effective maintenance plans.
  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment and infrastructure.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
  • Participate in emergency response rotations, working overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required to operate company vehicles.
  • CDL, DOT/MTO certifications, electrical and welding certifications highly desirable.
Work Environment

The Road Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, often in outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and exposure to hazardous materials. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Physical Demands

The Road Maintenance Specialist will be required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. Vision abilities include both close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to pass fit test for respirator as required. Ability to work at heights. Ability to work in confined spaces.
