**Job Summary:**

A leading Northern California agriculture cooperative, Morrison & Company, is seeking an experienced senior financial accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to the marketing division's daily operations and play a key role in the month-end and year-end close process.

**Responsibilities:

  1. Record essential transactions for the marketing division, including customer invoicing, accounts payable, grower statements, and payables, as well as crop recordkeeping.
  2. Prepare and maintain various accounts, including general ledger, vendor, customer, inventory, and other sub-ledger schedules.
  3. Process monthly general ledger journal entries for multiple entities.
  4. Assume a key role in preparing for year-end audit, including interfacing directly with the outside audit firm.
  5. Reconcile various bank accounts, including operating, line of credit, and sweep accounts.
  6. Support treasury functions, including monitoring accounts, processing wires, ACH authorizations, and other administrative tasks.
  7. Prepare and process tax and fee assessments and payments.
  8. Assist with annual property tax schedules and reports.
  9. Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices and paying company liabilities.
  10. Communicate with customers, growers, and vendors regarding their accounts.
  11. Assist with maintaining and reconciling the company's chemical prepayment and rebate program.

**Requirements:

  • Windows-based computer experience.
  • Solid knowledge of full-cycle GL accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Ability to work within strict timelines and meet company objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
