**Job Summary:**
A leading Northern California agriculture cooperative, Morrison & Company, is seeking an experienced senior financial accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to the marketing division's daily operations and play a key role in the month-end and year-end close process.
**Responsibilities:
- Record essential transactions for the marketing division, including customer invoicing, accounts payable, grower statements, and payables, as well as crop recordkeeping.
- Prepare and maintain various accounts, including general ledger, vendor, customer, inventory, and other sub-ledger schedules.
- Process monthly general ledger journal entries for multiple entities.
- Assume a key role in preparing for year-end audit, including interfacing directly with the outside audit firm.
- Reconcile various bank accounts, including operating, line of credit, and sweep accounts.
- Support treasury functions, including monitoring accounts, processing wires, ACH authorizations, and other administrative tasks.
- Prepare and process tax and fee assessments and payments.
- Assist with annual property tax schedules and reports.
- Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices and paying company liabilities.
- Communicate with customers, growers, and vendors regarding their accounts.
- Assist with maintaining and reconciling the company's chemical prepayment and rebate program.
**Requirements:
- Windows-based computer experience.
- Solid knowledge of full-cycle GL accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ability to work within strict timelines and meet company objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
