Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Cabinetlab Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building custom wood furniture and cabinets to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Build Custom Wood Furniture and Cabinets: The Woodworking Specialist will be responsible for designing and building custom wood furniture and cabinets to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Operate Woodworking Machines: The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers.
  • Prepare Specifications and Drawings: The Woodworking Specialist will be responsible for preparing specifications and drawings of custom-made cabinets and furniture.
  • Study Plans and Specifications: The successful candidate will be responsible for studying plans and specifications to ensure that the custom wood furniture and cabinets meet the needs of our clients.
  • Trim Joints and Fit Parts Together: The Woodworking Specialist will be responsible for trimming joints and fitting parts together to form complete units.
  • Sand and Finish Wood Surfaces: The successful candidate will be responsible for sanding and finishing wood surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: The Woodworking Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in woodworking and furniture making.
  • Skills: Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English.
