Job Summary:
The Underground Mine Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the underground workforce at the Impala Canada mine site. This role requires a strong focus on safety, production, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the underground workforce to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Monitor and enforce company safety procedures and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Mine General Foreman to develop and implement daily production plans.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on production, safety, and team performance.
- Oversee drilling and blasting operations to ensure optimal results.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Five years of experience in hard rock mining, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Basic Ontario Hard Rock Common Core and Ontario Supervisory Common Core certifications.
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel).
- Working experience with Avanti Payroll software or similar payroll applications.
