About the Role

The Lead Accountant, Corporate Accounting will play a key role in various corporate accounting, consolidation, internal reporting, and analysis functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical review of period end financial results, including balance sheet and income statement fluctuations, and provide detailed narratives to support business decisions.
  • Prepare month close entries and account reconciliations, promoting best practices with Accounting Services to ensure proper accounting and controls are in place.
  • Research and outline accounting standard changes, providing reports on findings for future accounting pronouncements as applicable, including recommended next steps.
  • Provide support and guidance to other finance teams and the business as required to address financial matters and questions, including External Reporting, Tax, Corporate Finance, Legal Entity Controllership, Treasury, and Internal Audit.
  • Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit and quarterly reviews as required.
  • Support the legal entity rationalization process.
  • Develop custom reports and provide internal reporting to the finance leadership team using various internal systems and automated tools, including SAP, BPC BW, NetSuite, and OneStream.
  • Participate in global finance projects, including system automation, process improvements, acquisition integration activities, and internal reporting development.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of related finance and accounting experience within either the software, high-tech industries, or public accounting.
  • Completion of a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or Finance, or a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
  • CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
  • Prior "Big 4" firm experience is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to take initiative and learn.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision, multi-tasking to establish priorities, and completing objectives without supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • An analytical mindset.
  • Effective written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate and present advice, options, and recommendations to senior management, executives, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • U.S. GAAP experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Blackline, SAP, NetSuite, and OneStream is preferred.
